Digital Access supports authentication using the Swedish national eID BankID. With Digital Access you can let your users authenticate with BankID on smartcard, file, or by using a smartphone with Mobile BankID. There are multiple ways to connect Digital Access to the service for validation of BankID and Mobile BankID. By using a national eID, such as BankID, you can easily and securely enable your services for a large number of customers without the burden of managing their credentials and authentication methods. Nexus Managed Services offers authentication with BankID and Mobile BankID using the SAML 2.0 standard. Digital Access supports the SAML 2.0 standard and can connect to any service, providing BankID authentication using the SAML 2.0 standard. Users can authenticate by scanning a QR using Mobile BankID, that feature is currenlty not supported in Nexus GO Auth. Nexus Managed Services will manage all contacts with the re-sellers of BankID and will also act as the relying party to the BankID service. The SAML 2.0 support is also used to connect Digital Access to eIDAS and the Swedish eID system for nationl eIDs.

When using a direct integration to the web service API for relying parties from BankID, Digital Access is configured to connect directly to the BankID services. You will need to subscribe for the BankID service from one of the banks that are reselling the BankID service.

BankID version 56.1 0 (*) was released in 20202023, and Nexus supports that this version in Digital Access version 6.26.0, which was is released in April 2022March 2024. ( See the release note for Digital Access 6.26.0 for more information. )
This version of Digital Access supports BankID version 5.1, which includes support for animated QR codes. Animated QR codes offer a more secure way of using BankID, which is why it is recommended to upgrade to Digital Access 6.2.0 if you want to benefit from this.
