This article describes how to install Nexus Personal Desktop on different platforms.

On Windows, Personal Desktop is delivered as an MSI (Microsoft installer file). It contains all the necessary application and configuration files. For more information see Install Personal Desktop on Windows.
On Mac OS X, Personal Desktop is delivered as a DMG installer. When the user starts Personal Desktop for the first time, an installation of the different components takes place. For more information see Install Personal Desktop on Macintosh.
On Linux, Personal Desktop is delivered as a Debian package for Ubuntu distributions and as an RPM package for Red Hat/CentOS distributions. When Personal Desktop is installed, it is accessible from the Applications menu on the desktop. For more information see Install Personal Desktop on Linux.

Personal Desktop uses ANSI X9.17 and a Miller-Rabin test with five repetitions for key generation.
