This article describes how to install Nexus Personal Desktop on different platforms.
- On Windows, Personal Desktop is delivered as an MSI (Microsoft installer file). It contains all the necessary application and configuration files. For more information see Install Personal Desktop on Windows.
- On Mac OS X, Personal Desktop is delivered as a DMG installer. When the user starts Personal Desktop for the first time, an installation of the different components takes place. For more information see Install Personal Desktop on Macintosh.
- On Linux, Personal Desktop is delivered as a Debian package for Ubuntu distributions and as an RPM package for Red Hat/CentOS distributions. When Personal Desktop is installed, it is accessible from the Applications menu on the desktop. For more information see Install Personal Desktop on Linux.
