This article describes how to install Nexus Certificate Manager (CM) clients on Windows. See this list of Certificate Manager client softwareclients.

All CM clients are available on Windows.

Make sure you have access to the license file before starting the installation.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. Double-click install_clients.bat in the installation package.

    Note

    Start the installation as an administrator, to be able to install the shortcuts.


  2. Enter the full installation path and click OK in the first dialog box, for example:

    C:\Program Files\Nexus\Certificate Manager\clients


    Note

    If a CM server is already installed on this computer, the client installation must not be made to the same directory.


  3. Confirm the path.

  4. Enter the full path for the configuration files and click OK in the first dialog box, for example:

  5. Confirm the path.

  6. Enter the name and the full path of the license file and click OK.

  7. Confirm the file name.

  8. Select the clients for which you have a license. See this list of Certificate Manager client softwareclients.

    Note

    Install all clients at the same time. It is not possible to add new clients later. To do this you will have to uninstall existing clients before you can reinstall. (See Uninstall CM Certificate Manager server components and clients)

titleAfter the installation
  1. Await a message from the installation program confirming a successful installation. If an error message occurs, correct the indicated error and restart the installation using the bat file setup.bat located in the directory <install_root>\install.

    Note

    It is possible to change the path to the client configurations files after the installation by modifying the launch.ini file. See Launch Certificate Manager clients.


  2. Copy the Bootstrap Officer soft tokens into <configuration_root>\certs.
  3. Open the Nexus Personal Desktop Client and either import the tokens or add the certs folder in the View > Preferences menu.
