This table gives the descriptions of the different states for a virtual smart card:

RegisteredActiveInactiveLocked

Start state.

Only visible, when something goes wrong with creating/getting a virtual smart card.

This state is reached when the creation of the virtual smart card was successful.

No use of the virtual smart card temporarily.

By default, there is no possibility to make the virtual smart card inactive except deactivating the related user.

No use of the virtual smart card anymore.

No further processes can be executed.
