This article is valid from Nexus Personal Desktop Client 5.1.

This article describes how to configure the minidriver component of Nexus Personal Desktop Client. 

To switch from cryptographic service provider (CSP) to minidriver:

  1. Right-click the smart card in the Personal Desktop Client GUI and select Register Nexus Personal minidriver.

  2. Restart Windows.

OR

  1. Manually modify Windows registry entries in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\Calais\SmartCards.

  2. Restart Windows.

Logging

Logging is enabled by default. Personal Desktop Client creates the following log file:

  • minidriver-pid.log, which contains all operations carried out in Personal Desktop Client minidriver.
