This article describes how to install Nexus Timestamp Server on Windows.
Install Nexus Timestamp Server
Download installation file
- Go to Nexus support download area support.nexusgroup.com.
- Download the zip file containing nexus-timestamp-installer.jar into any desired directory.
Decide directory for Nexus Timestamp Server
- Decide a directory in which Nexus Timestamp Server will be installed, for example, C:\Program Files\Nexus\Timestamp Server. This directory will be referred to as <install> and shall be the one used in the installation procedure.
Start installation
Double-click on the installation file, nexus-timestamp-installer.jar. If you get an error about using the wrong java version, it might be that you have several java versions installed. Try doing the installation from a console instead.
- Follow the instructions during the installation.
- It is recommended to install the sample configuration and modify it.
- Nexus Timestamp Server will now be installed as a Windows service. Logs and configuration are installed in C:\ProgramData\Nexus\timestamp-server (referred to as <var> in the documentation), <conf> refer to C:\ProgramData\Nexus\timestamp-server/conf.
Copy the license file
- Copy the license file that you have received from Nexus to <conf>/license>.
Start the service
Start the timestamp-server service from the Windows Service Manager.
