Digital Access component requirements and interoperability

Smart ID Digital Access component is deployed as docker containers and boasts simplified administration with easier deployments, upgrades and maintenance.Â
This article contains requirements and interoperability details for the setup and the different parts of Digital Access component.

Tested on Ubuntu 20.04, RHEL 7.9, RHEL 8.5
User database services
Digital Access component stores its user representation in a database, the docker package comes with a built-in database (PostgreSQL). That means there are no requirements for external databases to get started. To read more about external database, see Database service.
The following databases has been explicitly verified:

User storage directory
Digital Access component can link to existing users stored in a directory (LDAP). The docker package is fully LDAP v3 compliant for connecting to these user storages.
The following directories has been explicitly verified:

Browser support
The following browsers are supported for the portal, administrator, federation, and web authentication:
Mozilla Firefox with any of the latest versions
Google Chrome with any of the latest versions

Network protocol
Server Message Block (SMB) is a network protocol used to share files across systems. It is used to write to the log files in Digital Access. From Digital Access version 6.0.3, SMB version 2.0 or 2.1 is required.
