Install digital certificates on Android

This article describes how to install a digital certificate in the device keystore on Android devices, using Smart ID Mobile App.

If you want to see the certificates that are installed on your mobile device, go to Settings > Lock screen and security > Other security settings > User certificates.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. Open Smart ID Mobile App.

  2. Click Install to start installation of the P12 certificate.

  3. Enter PIN or Touch ID for Smart ID Mobile App. 

  4. The certificate details are displayed including the password. The certificate password is copied to the clipboard. Click Install. 

  5. Enter the password by pasting it. The certificate is extracted. Click OK.

  6. Click OK to install the certificate.
