Set up identity template in Identity Manager

This article describes how to create or edit an identity template in Identity Manager Admin.

Several identity templates can be based on the same data pool and present different subsets (subcategories or data types) of it and/or data in a different way. Access to user data from the application core and from BPMN processes is always gained through identity templates.

Prerequisites

Before setting up the identity template, make sure that the following things apply:

Step-by-step instruction

  1. Log in to Identity Manager Admin as Administrator.

  1. In Identity Manager Admin, go to Home > Identities.

  2. To add a new identity template:

    1. Click +New. Enter a Name and a Description.

    2. Select a Data Pool.

    3. Click Save+Edit.
      The Identity panel is shown.

  3. To edit an existing identity template, double-click on its name.

  1. Select a State Graph from the selection box.
New tabs are displayed, one for each state in the connected state graph.

For a lookup table without a state, select a StatelessStateGraphDefinition as state graph.
For more information, see Set up state graph in Identity Manager.

Select which process that leads to a new instance of the identity template. This process is started when a user selects the identity template in Identity Manager Operator and clicks NEW:

  1. In Process, select a process in the selection box.
