This article describes how an operator reactivates a virtual smart card for a user in Smart ID Identity Manager. The Reactivate virtual smart card use case is called automatically if a user gets reactivated or locked. See, for example, Reactivate user. But it can be also used to just reactivate the virtual smart card.
This use case is disabled by default.

The virtual smart card is in state "inactive"
Enable the Reactivate virtual smart card use case
Log in to Identity Manager Admin with your admin user.
Go toHome > Cards.
Select and editVirtual smart card.
Select theActivetab.
InAdditional Commands, clickNew(the pen symbol) to add a row.
InAdditional Commands, selectReactivate virtual smart cardto add it to theProcesslist.
ClickSave.

Log in to Identity Manager Operator
Log in to Identity Manager Operator with your user account.
Reactivate virtual smart card
In the Quick search drop-down list, select Virtual smart card
Select Virtual smart card from the drop-down list and search for and select an inactive virtual smart card.
Click Reactivate virtual smart card under "What do you want to do".
Click Next to reactivate the virtual smart card.
